Mineral Resources has reached a significant milestone today, becoming a donor of $1m to Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The company commenced its partnership with Starlight in 2013, and has recently pledged a further three years of support to help brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and young people.
Mineral Resources Managing Director Chris Ellison said:
“We are very proud to have reached this $1m milestone and to continue our support for this wonderful organisation.
“To us, this amount represents over 150 life-changing Starlight Wishes being granted to children and young people, brightening their lives at a time when they need it the most.
“We look forward to working with the Starlight Children’s Foundation in future to continue making a difference.”
In celebration of this significant milestone, Mineral Resources Limited was presented with its very own “shining star” which was accepted by General Manager External Affairs, Gary Gray, at a small ceremony in the Starlight Express Room at Perth Children’s Hospital.
The star will take pride of place on the Starlight Express Room thank you wall, along with a committed group of highly-valued supporters.
WA State Partnerships Manager Valerie Deal said, “Thanks to the generosity and commitment of Mineral Resources and the local community, Starlight is able to continue its vital hospital services and Wish-granting program in WA.
“Mineral Resources’ support has made a positive life-impacting difference to so many seriously ill and hospitalised children and young people in WA, and we are looking forward to their continued support – because happiness matters.”
