Hosting Kwinana Industries Council’s iWomen Project at our Kwinana Workshop

We were pleased to recently host the Kwinana Industries Council (KIC)’s iWomen Project at our Kwinana Workshop facilities, as part of our ongoing support of the KIC.

The KIC iWomen Project runs two days per week for three weeks and gives students an opportunity to engage in workshops, presentations, industry excursions and mock interviews.

Workshop Supervisor, Joseph Holland, with iWomen and iMen Project students

25 Year 10 female students, and one male student from their iMen Project, rotated through four key areas of our workshop facility where they experienced first-hand a range of career possibilities that are available to them.

The students participated in a question and answer session with our Workshop Supervisors and Learning & Development Advisor, Emily Pettitt, who coordinates our Apprenticeship and Traineeship Programmes. The visit was a fantastic opportunity for the students to learn about what we do and how a career in the mining and resource industry can benefit them.

We’re passionate about developing the next generation of talent and look forward to more opportunities to support this programme.
