MRL Provides Support for Local PhD Energy Students

Our Energy division works closely with the Australian Centre for LNG Futures, at the University of Western Australia, to support PhD students.

For the past few months, we have hosted local PhD student, Wendy Wang, as an Assistant Process Engineer. Wendy has been working on our marquee lithium projects Mount Marion and Wodgina, focusing on gas storage and power station upgrades.

Wendy’s research focuses on optimising and characterising trapdoor zeolites (adsorption capacity, kinetics, encapsulations, etc). This work aims to discover the application of trapdoor zeolites in natural gas separation and potentially for the design of new industrial scale pressure-swing adsorption (PSA) processes.

It’s been great having Wendy with us and we wish her all the best for the remainder of her PhD!
