Our two hard rock lithium mines in Western Australia make us one of the world’s largest owners of hard rock lithium units.
Lithium is the most important commodity for decarbonising the planet and Mineral Resources owns two of the world’s largest hard rock lithium mines.
Our lithium operations are based out of Mt Marion, located in the Goldfields, and Wodgina, in the Pilbara region. We mine and produce spodumene concentrate, which will help fuel the increasing global demand for electric vehicles and energy storage.
Our Mt Marion mine was initially designed to produce 206,000 tonnes of spodumene concentrate per annum. A current upgrade project is underway to increase production to 900,000 tonnes of mixed grade spodumene concentrate per annum by December 2022.
Wodgina is the one of the world’s largest hard rock lithium deposits and Mineral Resources is investing significantly in Wodgina operations. At full capacity Wodgina produces 750,000 dry tonnes of 6% spodumene concentrate per annum, underpinned by a 30+ year mine life.
