New faces, new opportunities with Mineral Resources Entry Level Operator program

Mineral Resources Entry Level Operator Program – Participants

A fresh batch of talent and new perspectives was recently welcomed to Mineral Resources (MRL) as part of our successful Entry Level Operator (ELO) program.

This three-month training program offers unique opportunities for those new to the mining industry to gain practical operational experience as the first step in growing a successful career.

And it’s working. The vast majority of our training participants remain with MRL, reflecting our efforts to successfully engage and inspire new talent without previous industry experience.

Building industry experience and confidence

Our current ELO cohort will spend the coming months building their skills and confidence across our Iron Valley, Mount Marion and Yilgarn operations – the first steps in what we hope will be a long and rewarding career with MRL.

We’re also proud to welcome our second all-female intake – with many of our recruits having previously worked across roles and industries including retail, administration, education and police and prison services – and are now paving exciting new career paths in the resources sector.

MRL’s Chief Executive Commodities, Paul Brown, highlighted the program as just one example of the ways we’re seeking to diversify our workforce by offering new experiences in mining.

“We’re proud to see our ELO program is providing the opportunity for new talent to enter the mining sector, enabling our people to build industry knowledge and practical skills in an environment where they’re supported to grow and diversify their career path,” Brown said.
