For the past five years, Mineral Resources (MinRes) has been the proud naming rights partner of the West Coast Eagles’ world-class headquarters – Mineral Resources Park.

During this time, the annual kids’ training night has become a fixture in both organisations’ calendars – for good reason. This year was no different, with the kids of many MinRes employees spending an evening with the Eagles at their iconic home.

The event gave more than 75 kids the chance to pick up tips and tricks from Eagles players while their parents and family members mingled over refreshments and captured plenty of photo memories.

This year’s training night was overseen by key players Tom Barrass, Elliot Yeo, Dom Sheed, Tom Cole and Andrew Gaff, who were accompanied by West Coast Eagles WAFL captain and vice-captain Jackson Nelson and Trey Ruscoe.

The kids were cheered on through the round-robin activities by the Eagles’ legendary mascot, Rick the Rock, who buzzed with energy throughout the night.

Beyond the physical drills, they were also treated to an exclusive tour of the Inner Sanctum – the Eagles’ state-of-the-art club museum and hall of fame which opened in June 2023.

Once their energy was spent, the kids received Eagles and MinRes-branded gift bags before re-joining their parents for a delicious dinner.

MinRes Director of Corporate Strategy & Growth Tim Picton launched the proceedings and shared his thoughts on the night’s significance.

“MinRes is proud to partner with the Eagles in naming this iconic facility – it’s a partnership that’s been going strong for five years,” he said.

“We’re always thrilled to connect the club with our wider MinRes family, which is what the training night is all about.”

Our premier partnership with the West Coast Eagles includes the naming rights sponsorship of their world-class training, community and administration facility in Lathlain.

MinRes is proud to support this space as it enriches the local community and gives the Eagles a place that they are proud to call home.
