Derek Oelofse

Joint Company Secretary

Derek brings more than 40 years of financial and commercial management experience across large private, government and listed organisations in Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

He joined MinRes in 2012 and has held several senior Corporate Finance roles. Apart from a nine month period in 2024, he has served as Joint Company Secretary since 2018.

In this capacity, Derek assists in overseeing MinRes’ compliance with ASX listing rules and regulatory requirements and provides day to day support to the Board in meeting these obligations.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and a Master of Business Administration from Henley Management College in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
