Helping build happier, healthier communities
MinRes is proud to be part of the communities where we operate across the Pilbara and Goldfields-Esperance regions.
Eligible community groups are invited to apply for grants of up to $10,000 for events and initiatives that aligned with our three key pillars: health and wellbeing, economic empowerment and strengthening local communities.

Ocean Heroes
Ocean Heroes helps people on the autism spectrum boost their self-esteem and make connections through surfing. With MinRes’ support, the team visited Esperance and purchased specialised stand-up paddle boards. Learn more.
A staple of Onslow’s event calendar, the Onslow Rodeo attracted riders and spectators from across the region and used a MinRes Community Grant to deliver the event.
With more than 190 members, the Onslow Sports Club is a cornerstone of community life in the region and used a MinRes Community Grant to purchase 10 new sets of lawn bowls, essential kitchen equipment, a new projector and a three-door bar fridge. Learn more.
Thanks to MinRes’ support, Karratha Central Healthcare upgraded their equipment, allowing greater delivery of allied health services and more flexibility for clinicians to deliver care where it’s needed most.
The WA charity seeks donations of basic items for people in need and expanded its programs into the Pilbara and Goldfields-Esperance regions with the support of a MinRes Community Grant. Learn more.
Understanding the grant process
The following steps outline the process of applying for a MinRes community grant.
MinRes has sole discretion in approving or declining community grant applications and may not choose to support a request in its entirety.
Step one
Eligibility
Check whether your organisation is eligible against the criteria outlined in our Community Fund Guidelines.
Step two
Application
Complete your application and submit it to MinRes during the grant round opening.
Step three
Reviews
MinRes reviews applications and notifies successful and unsuccessful applicants.
Step four
Funds distribution
Funds distributed to successful applicants.
Step five
Final report
Once the project is completed, applicants are to provide receipts and final reports to MinRes.

Early consideration
Community projects or events requiring a funding decision during the review period may be considered for early consideration if the application is submitted within seven days of the grant opening.
Early consideration must be mentioned in the event date section.
