Engineering
Our multidisciplinary in-house engineering and design team develop and transform concepts into fit-for-purpose, constructability and operations led solutions with greater agility, accuracy and technical certainty than traditional delivery models.

Projects move from concept to detailed design faster with MinRes’ integrated engineering approach.
This provides earlier cost and schedule certainty, fewer design interfaces, and more constructible, operationally aligned outcomes. Backed by one of Australia’s largest in-house engineering teams, we create a seamless interface across disciplines including process, civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control systems to reduce rework, improve quality and enable confident project decisions at every stage.
We’ve embedded AI-enabled tools into our engineering workflows to enhance speed, consistency and accuracy, helping teams deliver smarter outcomes without compromising quality.
Explore our Engineering capabilities

Metallurgy and process engineering
We deliver processing solutions that optimise recovery, throughput and overall plant performance across the mine life. We work closely with mine planning and geometallurgy specialists to align process design with ore variability and production strategy.
Our approach combines test work management, process modelling and flowsheet analysis to improve design certainty and reduce downstream risk.
We have experience across crushing, grinding, classification, beneficiation and base metal flowsheets and support progression from early studies through to detailed process design.

Civil
We deliver tailored solutions aligned to site conditions, operational requirements and long-term asset performance.
Our team designs civil infrastructure including haul and access roads, bridges, surface water management and drainage networks, hardstands, ROM pads and foundations.
By resolving terrain, geotechnical, water and access challenges early in the design phase, we support more efficient planning, limit environmental impacts, establish exclusion boundaries around heritage areas, reduce downstream risk and build a platform for reliable asset performance.

Structural, mechanical and piping (SMP)
We deliver the systems and infrastructure required for safe, efficient and maintainable operations for process and non-process facilities.
Our team develops solutions for crushing plants, stockyards, material handling systems, wet processing plants, concentrators and site-wide supporting infrastructure.
Supported by 3D modelling and design visualisation, we integrate safety, fabrication, installation and operational requirements early in the design phase, providing certainty and streamlined execution.

Electrical, instrumentation and controls (EI&C)
We deliver systems that power, automate and safeguard resource and infrastructure projects, improving safety, reliability and control.
Our team designs HV and LV power distribution systems, substations, earthing, cable routing, instrumentation and control systems, communication networks and functional safety solutions tailored to project requirements.
We have considerable experience in automation, HMIs, power system studies, arc flash assessment, renewables integration and PLC/SCADA development.
