Located in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia, Onslow Iron’s innovative pit-to-ship supply chain is now ramping-up production towards the project’s nameplate capacity of 35 million tonnes per year.

Updated Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves statements for the project as at 31 March 2025 detail substantial increases to figures from previous statements in September 2023.

On a 100% basis, Onslow Iron’s Mineral Resources now total 744 million tonnes (Mt) at 56.3% Fe, signalling an 89% increase from the previous statement. Of this, 508 Mt at 56.8% Fe is classified as Measured and Indicated with an additional 236 Mt at 55.2% Fe categorised as Inferred.

Ore Reserves also increased to 359Mt at 57.5% Fe, up 73% from the previous statement.

This significant Resource growth has been attributed to closer-spaced drilling, comprehensive geological remodeling and the reclassification of additional deposits.

Importantly, the grade of the iron ore and the amount of unwanted materials in the deposit mirror previous estimates, confirming the quality of Onslow Iron’s resources.

MinRes Managing Director Chris Ellison said substantial growth in Onslow Iron's Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves highlights the value of the long-life, low-cost project.

“These upgraded figures reaffirm the confidence we have always held in Onslow Iron’s potential to operate for decades to come,” Mr Ellison said.

“Our focus remains on building on this strong foundation, unlocking further potential in the West Pilbara and delivering ongoing value to all stakeholders.”

Mr Ellison said the acceleration of the project’s production ramp-up positions MinRes on track to establish Onslow Iron as one of Australia’s premier iron ore operations.

“I’m proud of the team’s dedication as we progress development and create lasting benefits for our partners, shareholders and the wider community,” he added.

All Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves estimates have been prepared in compliance with the ASX Listing Rules and the 2012 edition of the Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC 2012).
