Mungala Resort supports our Onslow Iron project as the main accommodation facility for the nearby Ken’s Bore operation.
A connection to Country
The name Mungala means Red Hill and serves as an everlasting connection to the Robe River Kuruma people – the Traditional Owners of the lands where our industry-leading accommodation sits.
Close engagement with the Robe River Kuruma people has supported the timely development of our operations at Ken’s Bore and fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of the cultural significance of these lands.
Industry-leading accommodation
On many mine sites, larger rooms are typically reserved for management or executive staff. At Mungala Resort, every team member enjoys a room that boasts 45m2 of living space – three times the size of traditional FIFO rooms.
The accommodation also features queen-sized beds, kitchenettes, a private ensuite and individual laundry facilities – eliminating the need to wait for communal washing machines and dryers.
An unforgettable dining experience
Residents at Mungala Resort enjoy the same high-quality food and dining experiences that set MinRes apart.
In Benny’s restaurant, buffet breakfasts and dinners include a popular cook-to-order service – while the adjacent crib room provides a wide range of lunch options including pre-packed and ready-to-heat meals and sandwich and salad bars.
At Dizzy’s tavern, residents can also enjoy a la carte meals such as chicken parmigiana and woodfired pizza, while the resort café serves freshly brewed coffee every morning.
A focus on health and wellbeing
Mungala Resort has a wide variety of amenities for residents to enjoy in their downtime.
All aspects of health, fitness and relaxation have been considered with the Resort boasting a swimming pool, indoor fitness centre, outdoor fitness park, cinema, golf and racing simulators, pool tables, sports courts, 18-hole mini golf course, cricket net and football oval.
