CSI wins Operational Excellence Award

Published on 20 March 2023

Congratulations to our CSI Mining Services team who won the Operational Excellence Award at Rio Tinto’s Supplier Recognition Awards gala.

The awards recognise Rio Tinto’s suppliers for their outstanding performance and contribution to the success of Rio Tinto’s business. The Operational Excellence award highlights businesses that go above and beyond to tackle obstacles, deliver safely, enhance productivity and demonstrate industry leading performance.

CSI won the Operational Excellence Category over international companies which are house-hold names around the world. The team was recognised for safe, reliable and consistent delivery of key production tonnes for Rio Tinto’s Brockman and Tom Price iron ore mines.

CSI’s relationship with Rio Tinto spans 17 years, starting at West Angelas and Nammuldi in 2006.

MinRes Managing Director, Chris Ellison, said:

“CSI is one of Rio Tinto’s largest site services providers and to deliver results in both safety and productivity while growing the trust and relationship between the two businesses is an extraordinary achievement.

“Mining services is at the heart of our business, so I am particularly proud of what CSI has achieved.”

This award is a significant acknowledgment of CSI as a partner of choice for Tier 1 clients and cements CSI’s position as the leading mining services provider in Western Australia.

Well done to everyone who works for CSI Mining Services for continuing to deliver outstanding results for our clients.
