Mental health
Providing mental health support for the overall wellbeing of our workforce and their families.

Our commitment
We are committed to creating a mentally healthy workplace where employees can thrive both professionally and personally. To help us achieve this, we have embedded mental wellbeing as a core pillar of our health strategy alongside physical health and injury prevention.

Our approach
Our Mental Health Framework delivers an integrated approach spanning mental health promotion, prevention, early intervention and recovery. We recognise that our large FIFO workforce faces distinct challenges, so our service is purpose built to support our employees and their families.
Delivered by our Mind Matters team at our Mind Matters Centre and on our owned and client sites through a fly-in, fly-out service model, we aim to minimise barriers to accessing external services, such as long wait times, service gaps and challenges integrating external advice into a dynamic work environment.
In addition to individual support, our Mind Matters team deliver targeted mental health education, regular biannual wellbeing assessments and facilitate mental health check-ins. We use a community psychology approach meaning our clinicians take a proactive approach and take part in toolboxes, pre-starts, return to work meetings and informal interactions. This approach fosters genuine relationships and trust, promoting early help-seeking and reducing stigma.
Importantly, our model supports both prevention and recovery, building resilience and responding rapidly to psychosocial risks as they emerge. By working with employees to co-design aspects of our service, we ensure it continues to adapt and respond to our workforce’s evolving needs. Our holistic model recognises that mental wellbeing and mental ill-health are not mutually exclusive and that addressing one supports the other.
The Mind Matters Centre is governed by the MinRes Health Pty Ltd committee, underpinned by robust processes for continuous quality improvement, clinical safety and co-design with employees. This ensures we deliver high-quality, reliable and accountable care at every step.
