By embedding gender diversity, Aboriginal employment and safe and respectful behaviours into its culture, MinRes is fostering an environment where every team member can thrive.
The company’s commitment is backed by real progress – from boosting female participation and narrowing the gender pay gap to creating leadership opportunities in operational roles.
Three MinRes employees – Breanna Doblinger, Grace Lim and Lee van der Meulen – illustrate how this vision works in practice.
Their stories span frontline supervision, engineering project delivery and technical innovation.
Breaking new ground – Breanna Doblinger, Construction Supervisor
Breanna began at MinRes in 2020 as a Trade Assistant at the Parker Range iron ore operation, starting in the midst of the COVID‑19 pandemic.
Drawn to site work and leadership, she quickly moved through operator and leading‑hand roles before becoming MinRes’ first female construction supervisor just three years later.
Her work has touched almost every corner of the organisation – from Yilgarn Hub and Central Pilbara operations to head office – covering tasks from dewatering and road maintenance to non‑process infrastructure builds.
At the transformational Onslow Iron project, Breanna has led large, diverse teams delivering vital infrastructure such as access roads, pipelines and water treatment plants. She credits mentors and colleagues for her rise.
“If you’re willing to put your hand up, take on opportunities and put in the work, the business will support you to keep growing,” she said.

Engineering success – Grace Lim, Senior Project Engineer
Grace works at the heart of Onslow Iron, delivering key infrastructure including Ken’s Bore Airport, the project’s private haul road and mine site construction.
Her role demands balancing complex engineering detail with fast, practical decision‑making across multiple work fronts.
In just five years, Grace advanced to Senior Project Engineer – helped by strong communication skills, accountability and completion of the MinRes Inspire Leadership Program.
“MinRes has given me real responsibility early in my career, backed by trust, mentorship and stretch projects that helped me grow,” she said.

Innovation in action – Lee van der Meulen, Metallurgy Manager
Having spent more than 30 years in metallurgy and laboratory operations and technology, Lee joined MinRes in 2022.
One of her defining achievements has been leading the creation of a semi‑automated analytical laboratory at Ken’s Bore – improving sample throughput, enhancing data quality and reducing manual handling.
The project not only boosts safety and cuts costs, but is shaping the way automation and innovation are rolled out across MinRes operations.
“With hard work, dedication and the support of a fantastic team, I have been able to advance from Senior, to Principal, to Manager in a short period of time,” Lee said.
Her achievements earned her a finalist spot in the 2026 Chamber of Minerals and Energy Women in Resources Technology Award.

MinRes’ continued focus on diversity and inclusion is delivering tangible results and helping to build successful careers.
These stories demonstrate how embracing diverse talent isn’t just the right thing to do – it drives operational excellence, spurs innovation and builds stronger teams for the future.
The company remains committed to creating a workplace where everyone’s unique background and perspective is respected and valued.
