Operating as wholly owned subsidiary CSI Mining Services (CSI), the division recorded annual production volumes of 341 million tonnes (Mt) - up 22% year-on-year and exceeding upgraded guidance - alongside Underlying EBITDA of $976 million.
Mining Services remains the engine room of MinRes, delivering exceptional capability to internal operations and external clients in several commodities including iron ore, lithium, gold and bauxite.
FY26 was the division's most significant year, with an innovative pit-to-ship supply chain now proven at Onslow Iron, which features NextGen crushers, jumbo road trains operating on a private haul road and shallow draft transhippers ferrying ore to ocean going vessels.
The project hit and sustained nameplate capacity of 35 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) and shipped a total of 34.1Mt (100% basis) for the period.
The development of the Upper Cane and Cardo Bore East deposits also saw the commencement of intra-mine haulage to the central Ken’s Bore crushing and processing facilities, while at the other end of the supply chain, the transhipping fleet grew to six vessels. The seventh transhipper – MinRes Karri – arrived in early FY27.
Supporting MinRes' Lithium business, CSI achieved a record quarterly production volume of 94Mt in Q4 on the back of heightened strip activity at Mt Marion.
The team delivers a range of services at MinRes' three hard-rock lithium mines, supporting the business in capitalising on the lithium market's turnaround.
CSI workshops at Kwinana, Hazelmere and Bibra Lake continue to support an expanding service offering, delivering a competitive advantage and exceptional speed to market.
Chief Executive Mining Services Mike Grey said FY26 was a significant year.
“Undoubtedly, the year will go down in history as one of the most important years of delivery,” Grey said.
“We’ve showcased exceptional capability across all facets of our service offering – from mining, crushing and processing, haulage, marine and port handling and aviation services.”
“Our delivery at Onslow Iron continues to be a standout. We've focused on driving efficiency and increasing throughput where we can across the operation and celebrated several achievements with an outstanding team.”
“Looking ahead, we enter FY27 with strong operational momentum – we’re guiding uplifted volumes, which will be driven by running Onslow Iron beyond nameplate, the restart of Bald Hill, increased mining at Mt Marion and growing our external order book.”
