MinRes collects a hat-trick of awards

Published on 24 November 2023

Mineral Resources was honoured to receive a hat-trick of awards at two industry events this week.

At the 2023 WA Mental Health Awards, MinRes was named winner of the Happiness Co and Happiness Foundation Mentally Healthy Workplace Award.

The award recognised MinRes’ efforts to encourage excellent mental health for our and volunteers. Our Head of Mental Health and Wellbeing, Chris Harris, accepted the award on behalf of MinRes.

“We’re proud to be recognised for the investment we have made in the mental wellbeing of our people,” MinRes Head of Mental Health and Wellbeing Chris Harris said.

“At MinRes we acknowledge that our people are our greatest resource, and we believe everyone deserves to go home well to their families.”

Thank you to the Western Australian Association for Mental Health.

At the 2023 AIM WA Pinnacle Awards, MinRes was announced winner of the Hawaiian Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Award and the Marketforce Group Marketing Excellence Award.

Each Pinnacle Award winner receives $20,000 worth of training to donate to a charity of their choice, which we were delighted to pass on to Youth Focus and McGovern Foundation.

The Hawaiian Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Award recognised initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to excellence in corporate social responsibility.

MinRes Partnerships Manager Liam Staltari accepted the award on behalf of the company.

“We believe deeply in partnering with incredible organisations that make a difference in the communities we operate in, and it’s an honour to be recognised for our contribution to the wider community,” Liam said.

“We are proud to have contributed more than $22 million to worthy organisations and initiatives across WA in the past five years – a track record we are committed to continuing.”

The Marketforce Group Marketing Excellence Award recognises initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to excellence in marketing and public relations.

“It’s a proud moment for MinRes to be recognised for our ‘Guaranteed’ campaign which grew our brand awareness and attracted employees from New Zealand,” MinRes Public Marketing Manager Mark Hughes, who collected the award on behalf of MinRes, said.

“Humour is a powerful communication vehicle in New Zealand, and it was exciting to deliver a unique campaign that breaks the traditional mining advertising stereotype to showcase the great work conditions and pay on offer at MinRes.”
