Wilson was appointed MinRes CFO in August 2018 and has led the company's finance, treasury, risk and technology functions through a period of substantial change and growth.
He has played a central role in strategic investment decisions and transactions that transformed the quality of the company's earnings and unlocked significant capital from the MinRes asset portfolio.
During Wilson's tenure, he has also led the funding of the company’s growth, fostering strong engagement with debt capital markets and broadening its access to capital.
MinRes Executive General Manager Finance Jonathan Cowper will serve as Acting CFO while MinRes undertakes a formal recruitment process for the role.
Cowper is a senior finance executive with leadership experience in the mining, energy, construction and manufacturing sectors. He joined MinRes in 2023 from Synergy, the WA energy retailer and generator, where he was CFO.
Managing Director Chris Ellison thanked Wilson for his contributions to the company.
"Mark has been a key member of the MinRes leadership team for the past eight years and I thank him for his service and contribution to the company's growth," Ellison said.
"Following a period of significant investment, including in the transformational Onslow Iron project, MinRes is today in a healthy financial position and generating strong cash flows."
Wilson said it has been a privilege to serve MinRes for the past eight years and be part of a team that has delivered such significant growth and transformation.
"I’m proud of what we have achieved together and will leave the company in a strong position. I will work closely with Chris and the Board to ensure a smooth transition," he said.
