MinRes operates three lithium mines in Western Australia: Wodgina in the Pilbara and Mt Marion and Bald Hill in the Goldfields.
Each site mines and processes spodumene, a hard-rock mineral and the primary source of lithium – a key ingredient in the rechargeable batteries used in electric vehicles, phones, laptops and large-scale energy storage.
MinRes sold 559,000 tonnes of spodumene concentrate (SC6) from Wodgina and Mt Marion in FY26. These record volumes, together with improved lithium prices in the second half, resulted in Underlying EBITDA of $771 million and the division's total revenue more that doubling to $1.3 billion.
Wodgina achieved its best year yet, with attributable sales of 317,000 tonnes (SC6) exceeding upgraded guidance as the site made fuller use of its processing capacity and improved efficiency across mining and maintenance.
MinRes also completed an expansion of the site's tailings storage facility, extending its usable life and supporting the mine's future operations.
At Mt Marion, near Kalgoorlie, sales of 242,000 tonnes (SC6) was also ahead of upgraded guidance. MinRes has also committed to restarting underground mining at the site and building new processing infrastructure, extending mine life and improving product quality.
Bald Hill returned to production in May 2026 after two years in care and maintenance an in doing so made MinRes the only company in the world operating three separate hard-rock lithium mines.
Chief Executive Lithium Joshua Thurlow credited the results to MinRes' people.
"The position our lithium business is in now reflects the hard work of teams across the business over the past 18 months, as well as confidence from the business in the role lithium will play well into the future,” Thurlow said.
“Our lithium teams have delivered incredible results while also riding out uncertain market conditions."
MinRes has flagged further growth across its three mines in FY27, including studies into expanding processing capacity, continued exploration for new underground resources and Bald Hill ramping-up towards full production.
"I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in FY27 and continuing to strengthen our position as a world-leading lithium producer," Thurlow added.
